Overview
The "Meghalaya Explorer" tour is a six-day journey through the stunning landscapes, vibrant culture, and natural wonders of Meghalaya, combined with a visit to the spiritual and historical sites of Guwahati.
Your adventure begins with your arrival at Guwahati Airport or Railway Station, followed by a scenic drive to Shillong, the capital of Meghalaya. Along the way, you'll stop at the serene Umiam Lake, perfect for a relaxing introduction to the region's beauty.
After checking in at your hotel in Shillong, you'll have the evening to unwind and explore the town.
Day two takes you on a full-day excursion to Cherrapunjee, one of the wettest places on Earth, known for its breathtaking waterfalls and limestone caves. On your return to Shillong, visit the picturesque Elephanta Falls, a popular spot for nature lovers and photographers alike.
The third day offers an exploration of Dawki, a border town famous for its crystal-clear Umngot River, and Mawlynnong, Asia's cleanest village. Experience the unique living root bridges and enjoy the pristine beauty of the region before returning to Shillong for the night.
On day four, you'll visit the Don Bosco Museum, which showcases the rich cultural heritage of northeastern India, and Ward’s Lake, a popular spot in Shillong. Then, head back to Guwahati, where you can opt for a sunset cruise on the Brahmaputra River.
The fifth day is dedicated to exploring Guwahati's spiritual sites, including the Kamakhya Temple and the Sukreswar Temple, before concluding your journey on day six with a transfer to the airport or railway station for your onward journey.

Day 1: Arrival at Guwahati – Transfer to Shillong
• Arrive at Guwahati Airport or Railway Station and take a scenic 3-hour drive (100 km) to Shillong, the "Scotland of the East."
• En route, enjoy a serene stop at Umiam Lake, a perfect place for relaxation and photos.
• Upon arrival in Shillong, check in to your hotel and unwind.
• Overnight stay in Shillong.
Day 2: Laitlum Canyons & Krang Suri Falls
• After breakfast, head out on a day excursion to Laitlum Canyons, offering breathtaking panoramic views.
• Continue to the stunning Krang Suri Falls, one of the most picturesque waterfalls in the region.
• Return to Shillong in the afternoon for some leisure time.
• Overnight stay in Shillong.
Day 3: Mawsynram & Khasi Model Village
• After breakfast, embark on a scenic trip to Mawsynram, the wettest place on Earth.
• Explore the traditional Khasi Model Village, experiencing the vibrant local culture and lifestyle.
• In the evening, return to Shillong and visit the picturesque Elephanta Falls.

Day 4: Mawlynnong Village & Dawki – Proceed to Cherrapunjee
• After breakfast, check out from the hotel and visit the cleanest village in Asia, Mawlynnong, known for its charm and sustainable living practices.
• Continue to Dawki, where you can marvel at the crystal-clear waters of the Umngot River.
• In the evening, proceed to Cherrapunjee, famous for its lush landscapes and stunning waterfalls.
• Overnight stay in Cherrapunjee.
Day 5: Explore Cherrapunjee's Natural Wonders
• After breakfast, explore the natural wonders of Cherrapunjee, including Eco Park, Dainthlen Falls, Nohkalikai Falls, Seven Sisters Falls, Mawsmai Cave, and Thangkharang Park.
• For the adventurous, take an optional full-day trek to the Double Decker Living Root Bridge in Nongriat Village (3200 steps each way).
• Continue trekking to the Rainbow Falls for an even more spectacular experience.
• Overnight stay in Cherrapunjee.
Day 6: Cherrapunjee to Guwahati – Explore Guwahati
• After breakfast, drive to Guwahati (approx. 5 hours) and check in to your hotel.
• Visit Srimanta Sankardev Kalakshetra, a cultural institution that showcases Assam’s art, culture, and heritage, and the Assam Film Museum.
• In the evening, enjoy a tranquil Brahmaputra river cruise (direct payment).
• Overnight stay in Guwahati.
Day 7: Kamakhya Temple & Departure
• After breakfast, visit the sacred Kamakhya Temple (timing: 08:00 AM to 01:00 PM & 3:00 PM until dark).
