Itinerary
Day 01: Arrival in Guwahati – Kaziranga National Park
Arrive in Guwahati, the gateway to Assam, and begin your adventure with a scenic drive to Kaziranga National Park (220 km / 5 hours). Upon arrival, check into your resort and spend the rest of the day at leisure, soaking in the natural beauty of the surroundings. Enjoy a peaceful evening in the wilderness. Overnight stay in Kaziranga.
Day 02: Kaziranga National Park Exploration
Start your day early with an exhilarating elephant safari through one of Kaziranga’s picturesque zones. Witness the majestic one-horned rhinoceros and other wildlife in their natural habitat. After a hearty breakfast, embark on an exciting jeep safari to explore more of the park’s rich biodiversity. Later, visit the Kaziranga Orchid Park to experience the region’s stunning floral diversity. Return to your resort for an overnight stay, with memories of a day full of wildlife wonders. (Note: Safaris are subject to availability and regulated by the Forest Department.)
Day 03: Kaziranga to Guwahati
After breakfast, drive back to Guwahati, making a stop at the revered Maha Mrityunjay Temple in Nagaon. Upon arrival in Guwahati, check into your hotel and relax. In the evening, treat yourself to an optional Golden Sunset Cruise on the majestic Brahmaputra River, where the golden hues of the setting sun cast a magical glow over the water. (Note: The sunset cruise is an optional experience at additional cost.) Overnight stay in Guwahati.
Day 04: Guwahati Sightseeing and Departure
After breakfast, embark on a spiritual visit to the iconic Kamakhya Temple, a significant pilgrimage site dedicated to Goddess Kamakhya. Explore its historic sanctum and soak in the divine energy of the temple. Depending on your departure time, you may adjust the visit or opt for a more relaxed schedule. Later, transfer to Guwahati Airport/Railway Station for your onward journey, carrying with you unforgettable memories of Assam's rich wildlife, culture, and heritage.
